~My Moment with the Higher Power~
I had an older lady come in the store and say that she just adored my blog and reading about this life that I have with my children and husband.
She looked at me with sadness and said that my blog makes her think of all the mistakes she made and can’t change.
This came like a blow to me, a shock, a deep breath, a frozen moment in time… I didn’t ask but wandered about the mistakes she made and couldn’t take back.
Are the words I write really that profound… I think not.
Are they offering you a look at life in a different way… I hope.
What I wanted to say but didn’t… as in many moments of life the words are there but won’t pour from your lips when you need them the most. I wanted to give this women the touch that would move her into a land of forgiveness… have you ever been touched that way? A soft grace across the shoulder or a story from a stranger that moves you to the brink of tears, and you understand the higher power being present in the everyday softness of life. I wanted to offer that feeling of being forgiven for the sins of the past… that feeling that has come to me through prayer. I wanted to tell her that those mistakes can be undone… just ask.
Just ask and you are forgiven… the power of Jesus.
Love is … 2 little girls picking weeds, and pretending they are flowers, while a mother stands close by with the look of excitement that comes with receiving a beautiful bouquet of fresh tulips on a spring morning.
